SÓL Festival was a family-oriented cultural festival held at Prosserman JCC, bringing together music, arts, crafts, and community activities for an afternoon and evening of programming.
Program
- Himmeli Workshop (2:00 to 5:30 PM). Led by Ukrainian master Nadia Voloshchuk, participants learned the traditional art of straw mobile making.
- Artisan Fair (5:00 to 9:00 PM). Featuring local artists and craftspeople selling handmade work.
- Concert (6:00 to 8:30 PM). A program of klezmer, orchestral, and a cappella music.
- Choral Singing Workshop. Led by AVE Choir Toronto, open to all voices and skill levels.
- Maker Station. A hands-on space where children created musical instruments from recycled materials.
- Dance Workshop. Led by Ismailova Theatre of Dance, exploring movement and physical theatre.
The festival was free and open to the public, welcoming families and community members of all ages.
